As you may know, I am back in New Hampshire for the summer. This change in plans gives me the opportunity to be a part of the Keene Art in the Park this year.

Mt. Monadnock painting from a few years back. Sold.

I have not been a part of the show for about three years now, so I am excited to be able to show my work there again. This event holds a special place in my art career. Why, you may ask? Well not only is it in the area that I grew up, but the Keene Art in the Park is also where I sold my first piece of art, and when I made the decision to pursue art as my career.

Living the life, Sorrento

That first year I was painting all spring and summer getting ready for what would be my first time showing my work to the public. As you can imagine I was a bit nervous, “What if they don’t like it, what if they say I am no good? I don’t think I could take that kind of rejection!” (Back to the Future for all you movie buffs), but the next thing you know I sold more than half of everything that I had and was on my way into a life of an artist.

Being that I started my art career in the Keene area and have had such a great support group here as admirers and buyers, I am excited and honored to get the chance to revisit the past and share some of my new work with the art lovers of the area.

When in Rome

A majority of the work that will be there is work I did while living in Italy. It was one of the most amazing places I have ever been, and I feel so privileged to have received the chance to paint there for two months. I am hoping you will enjoy the work as much as I enjoyed painting it.

When in Venice, San Marco

So please mark you calendar to come out to the Keene Art in the Park on September 3rd-4th and see my latest work, and of course enjoy the rest of the great artwork that the show has to offer. See you there!

Keene Art in the Park is held at Ashuelot River Park on West Street. The event will be held from 10am-4pm each day.
