Change in the Plans

The Streets of Naples

If you happen to follow my traveling and/or my art on Instagram or Facebook, then you may be wondering why I am in New Hampshire and not in Spain painting some new and exciting things. Well you are not alone, I am thinking the same thing.

So why? Why not Spain?

No I did not get tired of painting abroad, I have not had enough of the traveler lifestyle, I did not run out of money or become afraid to be living out of the country. No it is nothing like that. And sadly it is not for some cool or exciting reason either. The fact is that I have been dealing with some health issues for the past year or so, and it got to the point that I needed to get it straightened out once and for all. So after a lot of thought and deliberation we felt like it was best to get back to the States and get everything figured out. The whole idea of traveling was to be free, and my health was not allowing that to be the case. I have been in and out of hospitals in Costa Rica and Italy, so if you need any advice on finding good doctors while traveling abroad then I am your guy.

Obviously we are disappointed, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Like my girlfriend would say, “when life hands you lemons, make limoncello!”

New Hampshire

As of now the plan is a little up in the air, but we will definitely be getting back to Europe. Hopefully sooner than later. So now I will be spending my time painting in the studio. Working from my color studies and photos, I will be painting some bigger work from the time we spent in Italy. I am excited to get some large work done and am excited to share it with you soon. So keep a look out for it.

All my positive thoughts are aimed at you. Let mom cook and heal you.

When living or visiting warmer countries there are many parasites and bacteria that can be picked up in the food and water. When I travel, I always avoid uncooked foods, especially raw vegetables and under cooked meats. My husband worked in a hospital laboratory and he was very paranoid about eating out when we lived in tropical countries.
