A New Adventure
Bridge in Rome over the Tiber River
I grew up in New Hampshire and have experienced a good deal of the New England area. I have spent time up and down the east coast, I have lived in NV for two years and spent a fair amount of time traveling around the south-western US. I have been to Japan, Vietnam, and Mexico. Lived in Costa Rica for eight months and have spent some time in Nicaragua. But now it is time to get to Europe! As an artist, this is obviously a place that I’m excited about visiting - the art, the history, the architecture, the landscape, and the deeply rooted culture of each place - it is an artist's dream. Artist or not I think traveling throughout Europe is almost everyone's dream and can now see why.

Ready for work
My last extensive trip was to Costa Rica, as many of you may know, it was an amazing experience and I loved every minute of it. But it was time to experience, and of course, paint something new. I am so excited to have to opportunity to paint something completely different especially in a place with such a rich art history and culture.
Almost three weeks ago we got on a plane and headed off to Rome for six weeks, where we are living. We are also spending as much time as we can traveling around other parts of Italy. Last week we spent three days in Florence, (more on that trip to come) After the six weeks, we are off to Venice for a week or so, where I will have the privilege of painting and spending time with an amazing person and artist Geoffrey Leckie.
Next, we are head over to Spain for a month. I will be painting all of these places and doing my best to absorb the culture, and of course the food! I am excited to have the opportunity to spend a bit more time in these places, to live and learn, and also be able to share my experience with you through my paintings.

Hanging out in Florence
I hope you will continue to follow my blog and keep an eye out for all the new work that comes from my travels.
Keep up on everything new by following me on Facebook and Instagram. Up to date news on where I am living, what I am doing, and what I am painting.
Now I must get back to painting so that I can share this amazing world with you all on canvas.
One of my new paintings 16x12
Happy painting & happy life.
Kyle
