I have more exciting news to share. Once again, I have won Best Floral in the PleinAir Salon contest for the painting “Ready to Squeeze" for Feb/Mar. Now this painting is one of the finalists in the end of the year competition. In April the overall winners will be picked and announced.

I painted this painting while living in Costa Rica. This still life was set up using some of the local flowers and fruits, and also some locally made pottery. This is a little taste of the beautiful variety of flowers and plants in this amazing place. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed painting it. In the time I have spent painting here, I have been inspired by the large variety of color in everyday life, and I wanted to represent that same feeling in my still lifes.

This painting will be available at my upcoming April show in Vero Beach.
