Kyle Stuckey, was born in New Hampshire in 1987, began his formal
art education at age 18 studying drawing and painting privately with
Lori Woodward. He supplemented his education with art videos by Morgan
Weistling and Daniel Gerhartz, and studied with Mike Malm via a
scholarship he received from Scottsdale Artists School in 2006. Kyle's
work is strongly influenced by his study of historical artists,
including J.W. Waterhouse, William Bougereau, and John Singer Sargent.
He is now a member of The Putney Painters, an invitational group, mentored by Richard Schmid and Nancy Guzik.
In 2007, Kyle began working with Monadnock Fine Art Gallery in New
Hampshire. In 2009 he started working with Legacy Gallery in
Scottsdale, Arizona and Jackson, Wyoming.
In 2009, Stuckey won 2nd place in Southwest Art Magazine's 21 Under 31 national competition with his painting, Brittany. His work has been accepted into the Eastern Regional Oil Painters of America Show.
While his objective is to show the natural beauty of everyday
experiences by telling a story, Kyle's process accomplishes this goal,
regardless of the complexity or simplicity of the subject, by carefully
composing the effects of light, confluence of color and variety of soft
and hard edges.
